NBC 14 - Bluesox 8

NBC 12 - Bluesox 2

The Bucks faced league rivals Leicester Bluesox in their final meeting of the 2008 season on Sunday. The weather was a little unsettled as game one got underway, but became brighter as the game progressed. The Bucks started American pitcher Mike Ott to get the twin bill underway. Mike found the groove and pitched seven solid innings, with some good defence backing him up.

NBC started out well, going out in front by 4 & 5 runs up until around the 4th inning, when the Sox broke back and brought the score up to 7-6 at one point.

The Bucks gathered themselves up and put some quality at bats together to go ahead again and finished the game at 14 - 8 in front.

Game two saw Marius Urbanavicius take the hill. Marius stayed effective right through the early innings, and again the bucks had quality at bats and capitalised on some Leicester fielding errors, and ended the game in the bottom of the sixth on the mercy rule after going up by 10 runs.

The Bucks wish Leicester all the best for the coming season, which will hopefully see a better midlands division. Last DH against Brentwood at MK next week, then that's it for this year for the Bucks!
