10th August 2008
NBC
13
- Sidewinders 3
The Bucks turned up the
heat with this stellar performance in a defensive spectacular that any team
could be proud of. Add to this the timely hitting in the gaps and a monster
home run by newly returned Jarrod Pretorius, and you have a 13 - 3 victory
that was done in seven innings.
NBC did not falter even
with the bases loaded and one out, they emerged with minimal damage leading
the Sidewinders right through the game, knocking in 5 runs in the first
inning.
The visitors hung tough, but never got back in the game after a 5-3
margin extended to 8-3 in the 4th.
The last out was made just
as the rain started, and NBC retired under the bridge to crack open the
customary after game beers.
At home to Leicester Blue
Sox next Sunday, 1st pitch - 12.00.
